A Fresh Take on Mozart’s Masterpiece

This week, I want to introduce you to a project that’s as surprising as it is delightful. One of history’s greatest composers, Mozart, was inspired by the Mehter March to create his iconic Rondo Alla Turca in 6/8 time back in 1783. Now, this timeless piece has been reimagined by none other than Turkey’s leading figure in tech house music, Nodus.
Using the trendy tech house rhythms and synth motifs that have gained popularity in Turkey, Nodus has created a version of Rondo Alla Turca that’s set to dominate major festivals and parties this year. Known for his tracks being played worldwide, from Ibiza to Miami, DJ Nodus aims to surprise Turkish vacationers abroad with this unique remix. Last week, he launched the track globally at a star-studded event in a renowned Ibiza nightclub. Alongside this release, Nodus also dropped the second episode of his live podcast series, Tech That.

“I’m thrilled to announce that in 2023, I’ll have projects released by two record labels I’ve always dreamed of working with,” said Nodus. He also revealed plans to teach tech house production in an Istanbul-based workshop, sharing his expertise with aspiring producers.
